A forged wheel being machined inside a five-axis CNC at the Avant Garde machine shop

Craftsmanship

A wheel is engineering you happen to admire.

Behind every Avant Garde design is a process measured in microns — forged, machined and finished to a standard the eye reads as simply “right.” Photographed in our machine shop.

The Process

From billet to balanced.

01

Forge

A solid billet of aerospace-grade 6061-T6 aluminum is forged under immense pressure — aligning the grain for a strength-to-weight ratio cast wheels can’t match.

02

Machine

In-house CNC machining cuts the design to the micron, with a personalized concavity profiled to your brake calipers and offset.

03

Heat-treat

A controlled T6 temper develops the alloy’s full mechanical properties for durability under real-world load.

04

Finish

Faces are brushed, polished or coated by hand; multi-piece wheels are assembled with sealed, torqued hardware.

05

Inspect

Every wheel is measured, balanced and inspected before it carries the Avant Garde name.

Lines under one standard

One roof. One standard.

AG Luxury, AG Forged, SR Series and AG Flow Form each pursue a different brief — but every wheel is designed, engineered and manufactured in the United States under one roof, to one discipline of design, materials and finish.
